Baroda Medical College was started January 1946 by the erstwhile ruler of Baroda state, Shri Pratapsinh Rao Gaekwad. It was affiliated to Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad University of Baroda in 1949. It has an admission capacity of 180 students per year.

Permanent Discipline Committee :
Permanent Discipline Committee has been formed for disciplinary and counseling activities related to students. It comprises of faculty dean, Additional dean, Student dean, Senior Warden/ Member Secretory and a Senior Professor (non clinical).
Alumni Association USA ( BMSA 1987 ) :
The students of this college settled in America have formed this association and have contributed to their alma-mater by donating audio visual teaching aids, mannequins, examination hall, library furniture, cobalt chamber, renal dialysis unit, emergency care facilities, annual awards, scholarships and other donations in kind and cash amounting to almost one crore rupees.

B. J. Medical College, Ahmedabad
B.J. Medical college was started in 1871 as the Ahmedabad Medical School with the intake of 14 students for Hospital Assistant training. In 1879, it was renamed after the late Hon. Byramjee Jeejabhoy who donated Rs.20,000/- to erect this magnificent building and was attached to the Civil Hospital at Gheekanta road. It was affiliated to the Gujarat University in 1951 for Undergraduation and in 1956 for Postgraduation.
With the intake of 250 students per year, B.J. Medical College is one of the largest source of medical manpower is the country. Our doctors span the world today as evidenced by the presence of the B.J. Medical Alumni Association in U.S.A., U.K. and other parts of the world. The admission of M.B.B.S. Students of Gujarat State is centralized at B.J. Medical College.This sprawling campus also contains Govt. Dental College and Hospital, College of Nursing, Regional Family Planning Centre, College of Physiotherapy and voluntary Blood Bank forming an ideal self-sufficient medical complex.

M. P. Shah Medical College, Jamnagar
The M.P. Shah Medical college was established in 1954 by the erstwhile ruler of Jamnagar, Shri Digvijaysinhji with generous donations by the descendants of Shri Meghji Pethraj Shah. With an intake capacity of 175 seats per year it caters to the medical education needs of Saurashtra. It is affiliated to Saurashtra University, Rajkot.

Drug Bank TrustThis a trust run by the students & staff of M.P. Shah Medical College and Guru Govind Hospital, Jamnagar. it was started in 1980 with the noble intention of providing as many free medicines as possible to poor & needy patients. It adopts patients of chronic illness like diabetes, tuberculosis etc. and provides them with free course of treatment.
Blood Donors Association, Medical College, Jamnagar. (B.D.A)B.D.A is a voluntary social organisation being run by the students of the Jamnagar medical college since the last 20 years.This organisation makes necessary blood donors available around the clock so as to save patient’s life. It maintains a list of blood groups of staff members, senior & junior doctors, medical students and other voluntary donors with rare blood groups. It also organises blood donation camps along with other colleges & social organisations.
