sir it was notified in times of india a few days earlier that there is going to be a single medical entrance exam from the year 2012.Being a student from delhi will i get some extra benefit or will there be state qouta implemented for us for admission in a delhi college?

Hi rahul. I passed 12th in 2009 with 76%, but i didnt give any medical entrance test in that yr. i eventually dropped to study in regular course in late august in coaching centre. I agree that i didnt study hard to crack PMTs. But i got selected for BDS in CMC ludhiana. But confused about its future job prospects and high fees i.e. approx 2lakh including hostel led me to drop again. so in total 2yr gap. Then i didnt join any coaching again as i already had the materials, but i dont know how the disinterest and laziness came over, but time passed and before i could rush up with studies it was late. Now again situations r same as last yr. I got in CMC for BDS , missed the MBBS seat by 3 ranks there. Again left BDS with the rumours or truth i dnt knw , abt its unworthy status. I have b.pharmacy and b.sc nursing in hand rt now. But none of the courses are the ones im interested in. My interest lied in mbbs. because i love physiology. but life has been hard on me. I M VERY DEPRESSED ABOUT MY FUTURE. AND TENSED AND UPSET. FUTURE LOOKS UNCLEAR AND DARK TO ME. Parents are tired of tryin on me again for medical entrance test. they dont want me to drop again, but i still think i can do it. this time i will. BUT IS DROPPIN ANOTHER YEAR AFTER 2 YEARS A INTELLIGENT CHOICE? what if i take some course and study side by side for medical entrance , will that be possible?
one more thing , is pharmacy a good course with regard to girls and earning and for the ones who are not that good and interested in chemistry?
IS BDS REALLY A BAD COURSE? AS FAR AS EARNING AND JOB AVAILABILTY IS CONCERNED?
I might get bds again in 2nd counseling but to take it or not is very difficult for me…

thanks again rahul….but there is one more thing that i wanna clear in my mind , if you dont mind :P…. there is one problem. actually cmc ludhiana is a private one.. i hope you are not confusing it with cmc vellore..:p!!! which is a govt one.. if i PREPARE SIDEWAYS FOR THE MEDICAL ENTRANCES NEXT YR.. IN THE COLLEGE.. and if i get selected .. by GOD’s grace then i will hv to leave the college.. and these guys make you PAY THE ENTIRE COURSE FEE WHICH IS AROUND 10 LAKH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! then what will i do????? and is CMC LUDHIANA REALLY A GUD COLLEGE..???? DO YOU KNOW ? AS THE CAMPUS ISNT A GOOD ONE, AS FAR AS I HV SEEN… a 100 yr old building ready for funeral…….:p ..

Rahul im sorry for not completing my questions in on go.. but with that you can speculate the messed up state of mind of mine.. !!!!!! secondly and MOST IMPORTANTLY.. I dont belong to a rich family so i will hv to go for LOAN for pay the fees…there. after that for MDS also maybe..
so my questions are :
1. if i take BDS then i got to wait for aug 30 , dont u think its too late?
2. after BDS will i get gud job with tht much salary that i be able to repay the enitre fee loan as soon as possible… as i dnt want to take the burden for entire life…??
3.will the college people ask money every now and then for BUYING INSTRUMENTS.. for practice… coz that wont be covered in loan.. hope u understand what i am tryin to say… here..

will aiims follow syllabus prescribed by mci or 11th and 12th class syllabus for next year cet since there is much difference in both if aiims will not be included under common cet?

Actually most of my friends have joined the dropout batches in various institutes but i haven’t because i don’t find it useful anymore since i have all the study materials and almost majority of my concepts are clear.,.i just need to revise and practice a lot.,but i do take home tuitions twice a month just to clear my numerical doubts or any other doubts IN PHYSICS AND CHEM.,. !!
i just wanted to know that whether i am doing the right thing or not.,.!!

Sir,
I’m a dropper student. Next year since we have NEET, what do you suggest us students.. Earlier we were preparing with a particular exam in mind like DPMT, AIIMS, BHU all of them which are at different levels and have different syllabus vastness. Looking at the syllabus for NEET, it seems like they are laying emphasis on NCERT only. So, according to your analysis, what should be our study method. Do I do the biology stuff beyond ncert which is given in Trueman etc ?
As i appeared for around 8 entrances this year, i observed that physics and chemistry questions were checking our very basic concepts and not very intricate, complicated typical questions. Can u suggest a good book which has quality MCQs for Chemistry and Physics?

I just read in a couple of your posts that there are chances CET won’t be implemented this year?! Is that true? I thought it was final. Because if that’s the case, our studying schedule will also involve targeting our desired state pmt which have different patterns whereas CET seems to be more ncert based…
hi doc i just want to know, in ur comments earlier its mentioned that vmmc subsidised is fir 32k and non subsidised is for 1lakh 32k. but in the prospectus its written 27k for subsidised and 1lakh 12k for non… which is correct????

I AM A DROPPER, THIS MY 3RD TIME, FOR LAST TWO YEARS I TRIED A LOT BUT I THINK A HAVEN’T CHANNELIZED MY EFFORT OR I AM CONFUSED VERY MUCH.
NOW, I AM FOLLOWING MY GRADUATION FROM A COLLEGE IN GENERAL SCIENCE. BUT I CAN’T STABILIZE MY MIND, AND I ALWAYS THINK THAT I THINK I CAN DO. (I CAN NEVER RESIST MY DREAM TO BE A DOCTOR).
I THINK I HAVE WASTED A LOT OF TIME ON PREPARING UNNECESSARY TOPICS AND DETAILS KNOWN AS EXTRA BURDEN.
IF I WANT TO START THE PMT SYLLABUS ANEW, THEM WHAT WILL BE MY DO’S AND DONT’S?
PLEASE GIVE ME SOME SUGGESTION AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE.
