    Sir
Your biology@fingertips is really very good it helps me a lot in preparing for my test thanks for giving such a nice book to us. But I have a doubt regarding a point given on pg 270 in your book about first census in India. It is given that “first census in India carried out in 1891” but it should be 1872 and the continuous cense is since 1881..
Plz look in the same and confirm this as soon as possible..
    Thank you

Hello…I have been religiously following this website evr since I first came across it in 2013…I would just like to suggest one tip….

In today’s competition, almost everyone is dependent upon coaching to study…but there are some students, who do not follow the beaten path….they walk on the path of self-study to achieve their goals….and the biggest deterrent in this path is DOUBT…yes, doubts, regarding subject matter (not just related to academics)…like a doubt in physics or chemistry problem, doubt in genetics problem of biology, and so on…All these students have no means to resolve their doubts….

If you could arrange live chat sessions for instant doubt clearance of the above problems..I am sure, that it would benefit a lot of self-studying students…

    Thanking You,
    Ramyak

It was the plan initially, but couldn’t get much support from the fellow students. It’s not a one man job, at least when you are doing medicine. The very idea of pmtgurumantra was to take the legacy of guru shishya parampara forwards. Sadly, everybody here cribs about his/her own worries and forgets after getting into a medical college.
I plan to give a new lease of life to this blog after I am done with my MD exams next year.

    SIR,

IN THIS TWO MONTHS CAN I STUDY ONLY YOUR BOTH BOOKS,I AM NOT STUDYING NCERT AND PREVIOUS YEARS QUESTION PAPERS ONLY STUDYING YOUR BOOKS CAN I CRACK THE PMT???????????????

    • Rahul Chawla says:

with both my books you can crack any exam specially BHU, AFMC, AIIMS and all state entrancs but AIPMT draws maximum Qs from NCERT. I’v covered most of the ipm. points and diagrams from Both old as well as new edition of NCERT…still I would suggest u to read New NCERT after prelims for mains….Rt. now u can skip NCERTs, but do read it for Mains preparation.

    • aditya says:

is 5 month enough to score top rank in neet . right now i know basics of complete syllabus i am a dropper

      • krsourabh says:

ya ….u can score a good rank. All it needs is continuous study for 5 months nd self believe that u can do it.
last year u tried ….what mistakes u did u know better .Then tighten ur belt nd start studying as if u wil only stop aftr achieving the goal.

    • aditya says:

HANDBOOK OF BIOLOGY BY RAHUL CHAWLA
This book can be considered as a last ditch stand for all the students preparing for PMTs, who cannot afford to give themselves a second chance and another year of tiring studies. This 128 page-hand cum pocket book gives you an overview of the complete biology syllabus so it is easier for the students to revise at the last moment. The book would be extremely helpful in last minute revision.

My books for physics and chemistry are also going to be released in a few months..so do get them.

  9. lakshay says:

your site is very good .can you tell more sites like this where we can knowledge about pre medical exams.

  10. tapsh says:

sir i want to ask if there is any solution book to ratans guide A.k Aggarwal.. i am in +2 now .. i find some problems in solving some questions and hints are also not given to that questions.. so if there is any solution book for help.. like H.C verma has..

    • Rahul Chawla says:

the book has solution of most of the important problems..if you are not getting a question then ask ur teacher or leave it..no need to worry..there is no need to solve every question

  11. Gaurav sharma says:

dear sir ……..i am gaurav sharma………preparingNEET 2012 ………..and also doing B.sc ……now the exams of B.SC r coming in dec………i am very confuse how to maintain balance between these exams………i want do MBBS………PLs tell me ………what should do……….and is there comman test all over the india……..pls tell me about NEET also……….

  12. Gaurav sharma says:

SIR I AM very confused about NEET ……………and not concentrating on my…….studies……………

    • Rahul Chawla says:

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME THINKING ABOUT IT….It would ruin your studies..whatever MCI will do, leave it to them, you stick to your studies. There are minute changes which are significant only for those who has read everything and for those who have not completed their syllabus, they must not waste any time more thinking about the issue. Just study and there won’t be drastic changes or there might be no changes at all or even if they plan to change the syllabus and the pattern of exam then you are not alone, every one wil suffer.ok, and it is nothing like time nahi hoga baad mein, if you waste today’s time in thinking about the syllabus, percentile or no negative marking… checking out on internet every single day about the NEET exam, you won’t be able to concentrate on your studies. So, it is a request to everyone ,please don’t waste this time..don’t wait for the syllabus or exam pattern to be disclosed.Continue your studies, the way you used to.and in any case, the syllabus is changed, read that part from my book, I assure you none of the question will come outside what I have given in both of my books and NCERT.

  13. akhil nair says:

    Dear sir,
i’ve bought your handbook of biology.i think it is a very good book.the pneumonics are very much helpful.i have a small suggestion that it will be more better if you include much more points regarding human physiology.thank you sir.god bless you.keep going.

  14. Choton says:

just received the Handbook of biology.
Handbook of Biology is really good.
    Actually i can feel it.
    THANKS SIR.

  15. sarthak says:

    Respected sir,
Would your book “Biology @ your fingertips be sufficient for CBSE+2 board as well. Can I skip NCERT and just stick to your book. Also, could you please tell me when this book would be launched.

    Thanks and regards

    • Rahul Chawla says:

Biology @ your fingertips is complementary to NCERT..it has every thing required for Medical entrance examinations. It also covers important and worth asking points and figures from NCERT so that it is a complete book in itelf but still I won’t suggest you to leave NCERT because:
      1. It is necessary to just have a reading of the book to understand and learn the things given in my book.
      2. In boards, you have to write descriptive type answers explaining every thing while my book has content in very condensed form..so first have a reading from my book and then learn whatever given in my book…it has many mnemonics and flow charts to make memorizing easier.
      3. For AIPMT, especially mains,I would sugggest you to read NCERT completely because even though I have included most important points from NCERT, there is no end to what could be asked from NCERT in AIPMT whether it is worth asking or not..so you will have to read NCERT along with my book for boards and AIPMT but for rest of the exams..just rely on my book.
My book Biology@ Your fingertips would be available in december. right now handbook of biology is available. you can get my book handbook of biology at flipkart.com. http://www.flipkart.com/books/8175156422/search-books-rahul-chawla/1?pid=1v23fb0scd&ref=b22ccd0c-aaac-4ddc-b48d-62ddb20cabc6&_l=CJHVEqJO3veuHytbACc9dw%E2%80%93&_r=TxuNa8SHIYDMtQ11knQotQ%E2%80%93

  17. The Serb says:

    Dear Sir ,
I am appearing for the Med Entrance for the third time this year . Please clarify a few things for me .
    1. Tell me if KCET questions are repeated in COMED’K or not ? Also , I am giving the AFMC again this year . So , apart from my preparations , should I practice the previous year AFMC papers , to get common questions . Also , Aakash Institute has given a book for practicing the Logical Reasoning Section .

    2. I am studying from the following books :
Physics : Only Dinesh Objectives and Aakash Materials .
Chemistry : Dinesh Objectives only .
Biology : Dinesh Objectives and Handbook Of Biology .
I also wanted to ask that , is it enough to study only the Handbook Of Biology and Dinesh Objective Biology as I will not have enough time to study ‘Biology at your Fingertips’ book .

    3. Please tell me if there is any handbook in the market for Physics and Chemistry just like your Biology Handbook which has about 60-70% strike-rate at the exams .

One last question . Some people say that MBBS is tough . But , inspite of getting a rank to study BDS , I am appearing again this year just to study MBBS . I am capable of putting hard work and sincerity towards my studies . But , I just want to make sure that getting into MBBS would be a fruitful decision . I really want to become a doctor and a cardiac surgeon in future . Inspite of the long journey ahead , and the long mail that I am writing to you , I am waiting for your reply .

    Yours Sincerely ,

    Sarbajit Saha

    • Rahul Chawla says:

      1. yes KCET questions are repeated in COMED’K.; you can practice AFMC papers if you get time; no need to waste time in practising Logical Reasoning Section from Aakash material..just read the previous years papers of this section a day before the exam.
      2. The books are correct and do follow ‘Biology at your Fingertips’ book..it would be launched in october.
      3. I am planning to write physics and chemistry handbook but it would take time..and i don’t think there is any good book right now available for physics and chemistry.
wishing you all the best for your studies, keep following my blog and ask any doubt coming in your mind; and and don’t feel shy to promote my book among your frns!

I have a problem regarding my studies. I am very much inclined towards getting through the pmt exam, but at times i feel un-motivated and demoralised, seeing the immense competiton. I am in class 11th and there are students at my coaching institute who seem to know everything- even things that aren’t taught to us. Seeing them makes me feel hopeless and I tend to become a very soft target of depression. Please Help!

    • Rahul Chawla says:

Biology – any textbook ( Trueman) /notes of your coaching institute + NCERT + both of my books (Handbook and Biology @ your fingertips) + Dinesh objective
Till now I have written just two books and I am also working on the text book and an objective book for biology. But this would take time. So, you should buy above books. I had studied from the same books.
physics – comprehensive / teacher’s notes + A.K Aggarwal objective book or any other book which your teacher has specified.
Chemistry – Pradeep textbook and P.Bahadur for objective + NCERT
and keep on following the blog and do read my replies to the queries of other ppl. This will help you clear your own doubts too.
If you have any other doubt feel free to ask,
