But my elders keep on telling me that without coaching you can’t do anything in Medical Stream.
Are coaching institutes necessary for cracking these exams? After 12th there is no other option other than coaching institutes(if I can’t qualify in my first attempt), that I know. But if I give my full effort in preparing for these exams during these 2 crucial years(staying at school), still I will need coaching institutes?
no, coaching is not always necessary. but, yes you need to prepare some extra lessons and get your basics right.

See,NEET physics wont be as complicated.Just memorise the formulas and basics,be well aquainted with the NCERT theory.You’ll have to totally cram up all the previous years physics questions. That’ll do the trick for you.

do all the important derivations and short answer type questions and learn all the formulas..if you write only the formula, you will get 1 mark at least..follow cbse board past papers and samle papers issued by cbse.

It depends upon your way of studying and whether your basic concepts are clear or not . If your concepts are clear and you are smart enough to understand by reading from books directly, then go ahead, study by yourself. After all coaching teachers are no wizards. They cannot wave a moron into a genius! They are only there to teach you, to help clear your concepts; if you can grasp the topic yourself then its sufficient.
However if you are one of those who cannot grasp the concept by directly reading from the book, and are dependent upon teachers, then you can join any coaching institute and attend the classes regularly. Don’t hesitate to ask questions and clear your doubts with the teachers. But please never blindly follow what all they say, the teachers (mostly; however exceptions are there) can teach you but they cannot guide you on how to excel in exam.
But still, I would suggest that it is better to join some local coaching to help you clear your doubts and provide you with basic concepts of the subjects. A little guidance is very essential to prevent you from unnecessarily wasting time reading unimportant facts.

Modern physics and thermo in physics, all formulae in Physics and Physical chemistry, compounds name and periodic table trends in inorganic and important name reactions in organic.
sir i am having objective physics(grb publications)..i am referring it for theories,formulae as well as for solving previous years questions …..upto what extent it would help…….
each chapter in the book has around 200-300 objectives out of which 90 -140 are previous year questions .is it necessary to solve all of them???

sir last year (2011) i appeared in aipmt and . my total marks in prelims. was 280 .out of which i got only 30 marks in physics and 40 in chemistry .what should i do to increase my marks in physics this year………?
for physics, learn all the formulas and practice solved examples given in any reference book. Dont practice hi-fi questions or unsolved problems. after solving the problem your self always look for its correct solution.Make sure that u practice questions from every topic and question of every type. By doing so, u will remember correct way of solving every question and u won’t come across any problem in ur exam which you had not seen before.

1. Allen is in kota..far away from your home…hostile environment..bad food..there are chances that you would indulge in wrong things..teachers will teach you everything but won’t tell you how to study, what to study..study tips..mnemonics..nothing..their tests series and notes both are useless.
But the only advantage is that they teach well..it’s a different thing that they teach irrelevant and non-important things and leave many important things..in short they don’t know what comes in the exam.and next advantage is that you will get competition and giving tests along with 2000 students at a time would definitely prepare you for the final exam..it’s a different thing that whatever they ask in their test doesn’t come in the PMT exam.
2. Aakash is a wastage of money..it is of no use.
3. Now if you choose to live in your city and there are some good teachers who can at least teach basic things..then it would be best that you join a school where attendance is not compulsary..sit at home and study whatever I tell you.
Join Allen only when you think that you won’t be able to study by your self and you need some one to teach you and you would be a good boy and don’t waste your time there. Still you will have to study by your own but it’s like you will get a good exposure and a good competition. and it’s a trend that the students who are the toppers in ALLEN Enthus course are usually the toppers in AIPMT and AIIMS.
so depends which way u would like to study.
Advantage at home would be that you would be near your family and it would be a great moral support for you to carry on with your studies.
Sir in patna chemistry ,physics,biology,maths tution is run by separate IITians at different coaching centre and the batch is mixed up with both stds of IIT and AIPMT.Every chapter of class 11 & 12 are taught in very details and the strenght of batch is 300 to 500.70% questions taught are related to engineering.So sir tell me is it will be better for a medical stds.plz sir clear all my douts and give me a best suggestion what to do.And one thing patna is my hometown.So i can stay there also sir.pls rply
If the teachers are good, then it’s ok. Just make sure that all your topics are covered and u understand the basic things. don’t do IIT level Qs..instead learn the formulas and improve your speed coz in PMT, unlike IIT, cut-off is very high and the questions are easy and so speed becomes important. and don’t neglect biology. for bio, just read NCERts and my books.

Read carefully..it’s justa news article..not the official stamp of Andhra pradesh Govt.
PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME THINKING K about NEET..It would ruin your studies..whatever MCI will do, leave it to them, you stick to your studies. There are minute changes which are significant only for those who has read everything and for those who have not completed their syllabus, they must not waste any time more thinking about the issue. Just study and there won’t be drastic changes or there might be no changes at all or even if they plan to change the syllabus and the pattern of exam then you are not alone, every one wil suffer.ok, if you waste today’s time in thinking about the syllabus,percentile or no negative marking… checking out on internet every single day about the NEET exam, you won’t be able to concentrate on your studies. So, it is a request to everyone ,please don’t waste this time..don’t wait for the syllabus or exam pattern to be disclosed.Continue your studies, the way you used to.
and in any case, the syllabus is changed, read that part from my book, I assure you none of the question will come outside what I have given in both of my books and NCERT.
