Doctor Rahul Chawla was invited for Panel Discussion on NEET Re-examination Scam on TV9 Bharat varsh! I raised following concerns in whatever time I got to speak:
- 1563 is just the tip of iceberg! It doesn’t justify that much inflation in ranks.
- Maximum rank inflation is between 620 to 720 marks where the students get government colleges
- Meanwhile, students are divided between revaluation and Re NEET but most students getting between 630-680 marks are in support of Re NEET (as per a survey by a coaching institute).
The question remains – what do students want?
NEET aspirants are calling for a CBI investigation. Ideally, an inquiry should be conducted, and if any evidence of a paper leak is found, a re-examination should take place.
However, things rarely work that smoothly, as investigations tend to take a lot of time. Perhaps the students who took the exam should be consulted for their opinion on whether they want a re-examination.
Now the question is should all 23 lacs students who filled the form would decide the fate of top 1 lac students who are mainly in the competition.
There is lot of uncertainty and you can not discuss these complicated point of views in News TV debates.

What do you think should be the solution? Re NEET for all or for just 1563 students?
However, CBI Enquiry is mandatory, it won’t solve anything in 1-2 months. The question is if Re NEET is happening, are you ready for it? Of course, it should not happen in 1-2 weeks and candidates must get 4 weeks to prepare.
