As of 18th June 2024, Supreme court has sent notices to NTA and centre in the matter of 7 NEET UG 2024 Results Irregularities. However it looks like an eyewash. There has been no mention of Re NEET for all and CBI enquiry into the matter.

Intent Behind Grace Marks Needs Investigation
The NTA press release explained that they awarded grace marks based on a formula from the Hon’ble Apex Court’s judgment dated 13.06.2018 in W.P. 551 of 2018. A total of 1,563 candidates received compensation for time loss. However, the same petition indicates that this formula should not apply to medical and engineering exams. Why did they award grace marks to selected students? The CBI should examine the CCTV footage from the centers that granted compensatory marks.

Paper Leak Allegations: Urgent Enquiry Needed
Reports have surfaced that the NEET UG 2024 question paper was leaked before the exam. This breach has led to suspicions of unfair advantages for some candidates. A FIR registered at the Shashtri Nagar Patna PS confirms a breach in paper custody. News reports indicate students who paid large sums received the paper the night before the exam. These students later confessed to getting the same paper during the examination.
Examination Centre Irregularities
Students from Orissa, Jharkhand, and Karnataka were assigned to centers in Panchmahal Godhra. The principal of the center, along with some parents and students, remains under arrest.It’s unusual that the authorities assigned students to centers outside their home states, especially since they did not offer this option during online registration.
Rank Inflation
There is noticeable rank inflation in NEET UG 2024 Results Irregularities. At the score range of 700-720, there is a 7-10 times rank inflation, and at 672-710, a 5-6 times increase. For instance, a student with 648 marks in 2023 ranked 7,400, while in 2024, the same score gave an AIR of 31,000. The NTA claims this inflation is due to increased competition, but such inflation is not seen for scores below 500 marks.

NTA prematurely declared the NEET UG results on 4th June 2024 to align with the general election results. The official bulletin had set the result date for 14th June 2024, but NTA has not yet explained why they released it early on 4th June.
