How choice filling works
- Log in to the MCC PG counselling portal after registration.
- Add colleges and courses in your order of preference. There is no limit that forces you to stop early, so add enough options.
- Save as you go, and review the list carefully.
- Lock your choices before the deadline. If you do not lock them, the portal locks the saved list automatically at the deadline, as per MCC rules.
How to order your choices
- Put choices in your true order of preference. A seat higher on your list is never lost because you also listed a lower one.
- Decide branch first, then college. Read our branch guides or take the Dream Branch Assessment.
- Use past closing ranks in the College Predictor to include a mix of reach, moderate and safe options.
- Check each seat's fee, stipend and bond as reported by the college, and confirm before locking.
Common mistakes
- Listing only a few dream colleges and getting nothing.
- Adding a seat you would never join, such as a high-fee or long-bond seat, without checking.
- Missing the locking deadline or not checking the locked list.
- Ignoring the rules on exit and deposit for the round.
