I read Dr. Rahul Chawla's Biology at Your Fingertips while preparing for NEET UG in 2017, and I am now preparing for NEET PG. Thank you, sir, for your guidance.
I texted my query last year for NEET PG counselling and got a detailed reply from sir. Thank you for taking the time to guide us.
Thank you so much, sir. I'm very glad that your team responded to my question. It helped me a lot.

MCC's tentative schedule lists Round 1 registration from 12 to 21 October 2026, choice locking until 10 AM on 22 October, and the Round 1 result on 24 October. Rounds 2 and 3 follow in November and December, then an online stray vacancy round. Dates can change, so always confirm on mcc.nic.in.
It compares your All India Rank and category with the closing ranks of every seat in MCC's final allotment results for 2025 and 2024, across Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and the stray vacancy round. Each option is marked Safe, Moderate or Reach. It covers All India Quota, deemed university and DNB seats; state quota seats are not included yet.

A closing rank is the All India Rank of the last candidate who was allotted a particular seat (a specific college, course, quota and category) in a round. Closing ranks change every year and every round.
There is no single best branch. The right choice depends on the work you enjoy, the training years you can invest, your finances and where you want to practise. Our branch guides explain the work, residency, super-speciality options and earnings for each branch, and the Branch Comparison tool shows two branches side by side.
MCC conducts counselling for the All India Quota seats in government medical colleges, along with deemed and central university seats and DNB seats. The remaining government seats in each state, and state private college seats, are filled through state counselling conducted by each state's authority.
DNB is recognised as equivalent to MD/MS. In practice, the quality of training depends on the hospital's patient volume, teaching and exam results, so compare the specific institutes. MD/MS is often preferred for government teaching posts.
It is the final MCC round, held after Round 3, to fill seats that remain vacant. Rules on eligibility and joining are announced in MCC's counselling scheme for each year, so read the current notice carefully.
